FAQs

Where do you ship?

I am currently only taking website orders within the United States. If you are international and are interested in purchasing a print, please head to my Etsy page: www.etsy.com/shop/SilverSolsticePrints

What tools do you use?

So many different tools! For prints, I use traditional battleship grey linoleum. For textiles, I will use a rubber easy-carve block. I always use Speedball gouges and brayers, along with my handmade printing press.

Where do you display your work?

I display my work all throughout Kentucky. In Lexington, I sell my work at Creatures of Whim and High on Art and Coffee. A selection of my work is also on display at Wandering Elm Studio in Somerset, KY. I additionally table at local markets once or twice a month. Check my Instagram for updates on markets and galleries.

What kind of paper do you use?

I primarily use Strathmore 300 series printmaking paper, though I am transitioning to Thai Kozo paper on newer prints.

How long does each print take?

Every print is different. However, for 6x8 prints, designing usually takes 3 hours, followed by 5-8 hours of carving and another 3 hours of printing. The more details a print has, the longer it takes. 11x14 prints can take upwards of 50 hours between designing, transferring, carving and printing.

From where do you draw inspiration?

Ideas are so slippery. They often come to me fully formed, sparked by a story and or stray thought. However, nature and green witchcraft play large roles in my work. I am fascinated by magic, folklore and herbal practices. Whenever I can, I try to incorporate those elements into my work.
